Vacuum

Try to vacuum your home or office at least once or twice per week to reduce the number of allergens. Also, try to opt for a vacuum that has a HEPA filter so that particles are trapped and not spread throughout the air.

Address Pet Dander

If you have a furry friend, they might be carrying small allergen particles that can cause a reaction for those who are allergic. The protein that is found in your pet’s saliva, urine and dead skin flakes can all be problematic. Try to wash your pet once a week and keep them off of furniture. Vacuuming is also helpful.

Watch the Pollen Count

Between 5 and 10 in the morning, the daily pollen count is usually the highest. If possible, try to avoid going outside during that time. If you are exposed to pollen, you can reduce its effects by changing clothes or showering when you enter your home. You can also keep windows closed to keep the pollen from entering your home.

Utilize Humidity Controllers

There should be the proper amount of moisture in your home to keep allergen particles at bay. If there is too little moisture or too much moisture, allergen particles may fly around. Aim for a humidity level around 40 percent.
